I am putting together a 3 foot parabolic antenna from Styrofoam, Mylar, and stepper motors. The initial purpose was to contour the ionosphere locally but have ideas to use as an Internet connection via the public library, and possibly for radio astronomy.
I have seen some colored maps of planets supposedly done with a small diameter parabola.
I would like to know a) if there are others doing similar tasks?, b) what sort of process is used to map a planet/astroid? and c) what have experimenters done with passive radar?
