It is difficult to recommend a laptop you need when there isn't any information on the requirements of the application you want to run (the game). Generally speaking, a gaming laptop will do. Any further information would be helpful.

Toshiba's labtops are actually cheap. Mine was so vulnerable to static electricity that I had to repair it twice. Compared to the Chinese Haier laptop, it sucks...

Samsun is cool, or HP... I duno, pick one with a fast CPU, higher than 2.40 Mhz, that's benifical to your game speed.

Kind reminder: Excessive video game is not good for you. If I were you I'd listen to my mom...

I got this laptop, upgraded to 8GB ram and I can play games just fine. skyrim runs smoothly, sims 3, paths of exile they are all fine. Unless you are doing some serious hard core gaming that you actually get paid to do, I wouldn't invest in a "gaming" machine. Save that for if you get into game design yourself. Just playing doesn't require as much as the computer industry would like you to think.

Oh and I do programming and run several different compilers. And I can run sql server on it as well.

I bought my wife an Asus Zenbook and it's the coolest computer I've ever owned. Not sure how great it would be for gaming, but it seems pretty powerful.

She's quick to point out how often she comes home to a drained battery.
