what is the name of this circuit in the camera self photography timer which after pushing the trigger switch it start counting down an adjustable time, and indicate each seconds with blinking LED and piezoelectric sound and as it get closer to finish the blinks and sounds get faster, it has a reset switch which cancel timer and when it finished it closes relay contacts or send a puls to optocoupler to trigger a triac for an adjustable or fixed time for example 1000ms and then open contacts again and wait for trigger switch for the next time.
I see too many monostable circuits but neither of them blinking or having sound like this:
Beep--------Beep-------beep----beep--beeeeeeeeeeeep.
Is it some kind of monostable timer circuit?
Can I design it with simple timer ICs or I need a micro-controller?
I need this kind of circuit and more information about it.
I have some PIC ICs and their porogrammer, using to write some simple LED effects for them, I need some help with the coding of the above timer circuit.
Thank you.
