I am 14-year-old boy from India with a deep interest in space studies. Recently, while surfing the net I came across the website http://spacecampindia.com/index.htm It's about Space Camp India who give a hands-on astronaut training experience to kids at the Space Museum at Huntsville. Though the program structure looks quite promising, I was wondering if a course like this will help me hone my interest in Space. I would love to be enrolled for this program if it helps me become an astronaut in the future. Pls advice what to do?

Hey I had been a member of the Space Camp India last summer. Trust me... it was an awesome experience. We could wear astronaut suits, build our own rockets and launch them and perform whole lot of activities that astronauts do in real life. We also got an understanding of the kind of maths and science we need to study to become an astronaut. We could also interact with astronomy experts on issues we had doubts over. All in all it was a great learning experience and a lot of fun. In fact, now i know that when i would enroll myself for astrophysics in future, I would have an edge over other candidates because i have practical knowledge of space study. If you are serious about space studies, I would suggest you take up this program at least once to have a first hand knowledge of this field.
