Some strong winds hit the neighborhood a while ago, and it started me wondering...
What is needed for a microburst to occur (also known as "downbursts," but microbursts are smaller), or for that matter, even a macroburst, what is the chance of it happening in a certain area, and does it come from clouds, fronts, or anything else? How are they formed?
