    the emergence of continents:
after the two theories and studies of seismic data and those of GPS too. I did well with this theory
The new theory shows that the earth was a single mass as the moon "as said neal adams" but it did not grow. it was in the same volume as today. and after an impact that creating a crack. "That of the Atlantic ocean." And that it was the cause of the early to remoteness of its two edges. (Tectonic theory) and has continued until today.
New in this theory is that it shows the progress of creation of the continent, mountains ........ etc.., and it will facilitate the study of seismology, volcanogie, paleontology and ... ...... etc.
in addition it helps to locate the petroleum and mining reserves just from the study of the map and the movement of continents.

note: sorry for the sins of google translator. I do not speak English well.

How does your idea account for the geological magnetic and paleontological data that indicates multiple older supercontinents and oceans before Pangaea?

your question is based on the theory of Werner, and for me this theory completely false, pangea never existed.
and for your question, I'll give you one answer and it will be very supporting:
in my study, all Sahara (Sahara African, Arab sahara, sahara American and even the Chinese .....) line as a belt. (Saharan belt.)
and the ocean which you speak, he has had, but it's just been flooding the low level of certain area caused by the movement of the earth's crust. (a low level to beyond the sea filled) and the ocean disappeared after that because the level of the earth back again.

note: sorry, I can not express myself properly because my background is in Arabic and google translator does not help, I do my best to explain all.

Sorry Kasmi, I can't understand what theory you are supporting. However I can offer evidence of the past "death of an Ocean". I am posting from the state of Vermont, USA. Geologically Vermont is the compressed bed of a former "Atlantic Ocean". Its stone is mesomorphic rock, principly slate and marble. Marble is compressed limestone and slate is compresed shale. The one hundred mile (approximate) width of Vermont was once the thousand mile bed of an ocean in which limestone and shale was formed by the slow deposit of sediment. Living here it is impossible to doubt either "deep time" or tectonic movement.

I have no personal experience of deserts but my impression is that they are adequatly explained as "wind shadows". That is, they are down wind from major mountain ranges and that the air masses lose their moisture as they are forced up over the mountains.

what I said is that the former oceans are places submerged by the sea, as their height became lower than the sea level, and after a long period these places have experienced an increase in altitude due to the pressure caused by the crack Atlantic.
In any case, I am trying to prepare videos, and it's going to be easier for me to show you this theory, we meantime if you have questions I'll do my best to answer you. in addition it's going to help me in my research.

Not believing in Pangaea is not what I asked about. I asked what your theory does to explain the geological, paleomagnetic, and paleontological data which indicates multiple older supercontinents and oceans before Pangaea

my experience with guys like you is that they are ignoring all facts which doesn't fit into their own picture of earth, as long as this is like this no discussion makes sense. There are evidences for supercontient cycles there are evidences for plate movement before there are evidences for an former atlantic ocean.
