I would like to ask about the differences between the foreland basin (preipheral&retroarc) and forearc basin. For me, they seem similar things, but i know they are differen,t but i cannot understand the difference between their location/formation etc. Can I be explained with these? Thanks

also, i would like to ask something regarding on other things... How can I distinguish a delta which is formed in lake or marine enviornment ? Is it okay to judge by the sediments like the grain size? Will sediments in delta in marine environment be more sorted and smaller in size ?
And..what are the differences between turbidites and graded bedding ? they seem similar to me ..

    Thanks !!

Lacustrine deltas tend to be smaller than their marine counterparts, but otherwise will be more or less the same.

Turbidites will have graded beds, but turbidites occur in disctinctive sequences and are not simply a single graded bed.
