These appear to be three separate questions. I'll try to tackle each one.

Why and how can we predict landslide by mudstone ?

This does not make much sense. 'Why can we predict landslide by mudstone?' What does that mean? You will need to restate it for me.

Also, I don't think you want to ask about landslides of mudstone, but of mud. Mudstone is lithified. It is rock. It is hard. It's propensity to landslide is comparable with other argillaceous sediments such as marl, claystones and shales. This will be dictated more by topography, internal structure, water table, weathering depth and type, etc. We are getting into areas of soil mechanics, and Mohr circles, and civil engineering. Without some better definition of the quesiton I don't think I can even begin to attempt an answer, or know if it is beyond my expertise.

Will cross bedding (be) present in sandstone formed in marine environment?

That's an easy one: yes. There are many marine environments. Offshore bars will certainly show cross bedding. Submarine dunes will show it, just as their terrestrial counterparts do. I think we may also see it on beach sands with a wide tidal range and exposure to varied sea conditions.

I am wondering is there fossils in those formed in desert areas..

Yes, but they are going to be rare.
