    Im starting a little project and im looking for large wide open spaces in canada/america. Im having a hard time with google maps, the resolution really isnt good enough. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I forgot to mention that i preferably want a flat space.

    The plains of eastern Colorado are somewhat flat with lumps here and there, such as these Pawnee Buttes. If you ever read Centennial, these are the Rattlesnake Buttes in Michener's novel.

    Try Groom Lake in Nevada.
