    I felt it here in NJ. Reports on TV it was felt in GA, Boston, Chicago, Ontario, etc.

    East coast quakes shake a big area!!

    Magnitude 5.9 - VIRGINIA

    Amazing. More evidence of nature's "benevolence". Are there more earthquakes than usual last few years globally and if so what might account for phenomenon? Best wishes to all affected dotcomrades, naturally.

    no there is no increase in the frequency of quakes overall. Take a look at the USGS quake data and you will see. People are more connected now then ever before so news of the quakes is being disseminated as they happen, rather then day/weeks/months later as it used to be.

    Thanks, looks like one in Virgin Islands area this date as well.

    Magnitude 7 'quake in Amazon basin area today, shook buildings in Brasilia. Sure SEEMS like more activity, probably just becoming more aware of it.
