    has the iron in earth (that we mine) come from meteorites ??

    In the sense of deep time yes, and even farther in the past from a Type II supernova.

    Most mineable ore are from either hydrothermal formations or sedimentary deposits laid down during the great oxygenation event (google "GOE"), roughly, two billion years ago.

    Both the Sudbury Impact structure and Meteor Crater are nickel-iron meteor impacts.

    Just to clarify jlhredshift's response about 'in the sense of deep time': the Earth formed from planetesimals 4.5 billion years ago. Meteors are the uncollected remnants of that phase of solar system formaiton and evolution.

    Iron is a mineral, human need this mineral, most of iron found in blood shall, you can get the iron to eating green vegetable.
