    I have an important question.

    When did human understand(find) that different colors are avoided from water in different depths?

    I don't want to know the exact time , only say it's century plz.
    And please tell me the source of your text.

    I saw you post this question on another sight.
    Light is attenuated or it penetrates water because of the wavelength and other factors in the water that are responsible for scattering, reflecting, ect.

    Exact date...uh. Whenever people realized that light was a wavelength. Perhaps you should drop the physics forum a visit.
