Looks like you have some wrong letters in there. 2 is going to be sulfate and 4 seamount.

#1 no longer starts with an "G". but (1down?) The movement of sea, ice or vessel, caused by ocean currents or winds.5Letters with an "F" as the fourth letter. I think it could be "DRIFT". Which make #1 across start with the letter "D"and an"E" as the seventh letter. D_ _ _ _ _E_ _

All these sound a lot like homework... Are you suppposed to have done some reading on the subject before attempting these?

This is in response to Matt:
Some of these happen to be homework, but out of "7"crossword puzzles which contain 30 plus questions, I don't think asking for help on "8 questions would mean I didn't read or attempt to answer these myself. Please don't be so judgmental before knowing all the facts. I've come here looking for assistance, not to be criticized.
Isn't this why we are all here(on this planet), to help one another.
Thanks goes to those who have helped me.

kiyt13, no need to be so prickly - if you read the guidelines on homework you'll read that "(2) At their own discretion, members may be willing to offer help for homework questions. That is their right, not yours, so don't feel disgruntled if you don't get any responses."

or if someone suspects that you're trying to slip in homework under the radar and makes a remark about it
hopefully you'll get assistance in the future now that the cat is out of the bag, but it's always better to be upfront when it's homework

At no time did i ever try to hide or deny the homework thing. I don't have a problem or feel disgruntled with someone choosing not to help, that is their choice. I am no child by any means, I'm 44 yrs. old and don't appreciate the assumption in Matt's response is all.
Once again Thank you to all that helped me.

The teacher got these off the internet herself and I,myself have seen them on the internet. So i don't think there is any copyright to worry about. If you really want them, I could see if i could get them to post.

Here is some I truly can't find.

1.forth coming weather may be predicted by noting the _____.18 Letters with the first one being a "B" and the 16th one is a "N" and the 18th one is a "Y"

    2. Fast-moving "rivers" of air which move at 75 to 150 mph in the upper atmosphere.
    10 Letters with a " T" as the 5th letter.

I might be looking way too much into these. I often do that and it turns out to be something obvious.

I didn't mean to come off harshly. There are just a lot of people post and run with homework questions putting in no effort. If you're not one of those (and it seems you are indeed not) then I have no problem with helping you

For the forthcoming weather one, 'barometric pressure' is the right amount of letters and makes sense with the clue. Are you sure about the 16th and 18th letters?

Thanks Barnedog! that is what is was since the "n" was part of "thunderstorm" and the "y" was part of "eyewall" and nothing else would fit if i removed those.

    Thanks MarnixR, yours fit perfectly.

what is a screen shot? NOt sure what you mean by a screen shot. If you mean copy and paste, I don't think it would work, it being a pdf file.

does your keyboard have a button that says 'Prt Scr', inbetween the F-keys and the Scroll Lock ?
if you press that one you basically copy an image of your screen to the clipboard, from where you can paste it into any graphical package (even Paint will do)
once you've done that you can then cut out the crossword, paste it again and save it as a .bmp, .gif or .jpg file
you should then be able to upload the image to a place like ImageShack, copy the forum link and paste it in a post on this forum

    hope that makes sense ?
