if you could dig a hole straight through the earth and jump in and survive, what would happen?

would you come out the other side and then fall back in because of gravity?
if so would you ever stop?

I've been thinking about this for a while and it seems to me that if this is right, then it would be perpetual motion.

if it isn't, then why isn't it?

would you eventually come to a stop some how?

You would come to a stop due to friction with the air.

You'd end up near, and move slowly in a 28 day period to maintain the closest distance to the earth-moon barycenter--the center of mass between the earth and moon which continually shifts as the moon orbits.
