That is not science, that is Islamic propaganda and belongs in religion.
i got 90 seconds into the first clip + had enough : lifting pretty bland stuff from the discovery channel and then totally misinterpreting or misunderstanding it !
i bet the author doesn't have a clue what exactly is meant by "the iron was sent down" - to 8th century folk that meant iron meteorites that fell down in the here and now, not some piece of segregation of iron to the core during the formation of the earth
cherry picking is the chief passtime of the unscientific mind
What is this post doing in this forum, Totally Islamic Propaganda, just wasted my time watching all that.
Those "Islam-knew-it-all-before-and-this-proves-that-allah-exists-you-non-believing-ignoramuses" idiots are like short-period comets on this board, allthough much less interesting. They pop up out of nowhere with a lore of links to islamistic (fanatics) websites, regurgitating tired boring old diaperhead propaganda and vanish again after they realize that nobody gives a flying f**k about this s**t. Just hit the "ignore" button, makes them go away sooner. Like pimples on your face, the more you squeeze them the slower they are to vanish.
i'm sure they'll love your definition of islam : a pimple on the face of the earth![]()
Well i have watched the first youtube link and would rather cut off my balls than watch another one. What the precise objective of these links are I'm not sure. To try and convert non-believers to Islam? Probably. To start an open debate on the claims being made? Probably not.
I suspect that many Muslims have been brought up with an unquestioning attitude toward the Koran's through repetitive reading, although which one of the seven different versions of the perfect book, i imagine, depends on where you were born.
It is well known that many of the scientific facts in the Koran (as well as other religious texts such as the Bible) came from the Greeks, errors n'all. Even so there is already a rather large problem in the first Islamic propaganda link. Right at the end of the short film a translated quote from the Koran with the sentence in question "We sent down iron" is shown, and here it is.....
So Allah (weOriginally Posted by utube link

This whole thread is in fact anti-Islam propaganda.
A lot of it, going around.
Tell me Vexer, is this anti-Islamic propaganda?Originally Posted by Vexer

The "liable to fine" part is pretty funny! So they make you pay a fine before they chop your head off?!
Tell me Vexer, is this anti-Islamic propaganda?
Yes, clearly. I could ask questions about the USA’s laws. For example, it you’re talking about putting people to death, the USA is right up there. And that politcal discussion could go on for a long time. But that would have surpassingly little to do with “Earth Sciences”.
So, you're claiming that the federal laws of Pakistan promote anti-Islamic propaganda?Originally Posted by Vexer

Islam has nothing to do with earth sciences, either. And no, we're not talking about putting people to death. But that would have surpassingly little to do with “Earth Sciences”.
The OP promotes "Islamic Propaganda."
So, you're claiming that the federal laws of Pakistan promote anti-Islamic propaganda?

That alleged link does not exist. So, I dunno what you’re trying to do.
So, you're claiming that the federal laws of Pakistan promote anti-Islamic propaganda?
You’re making an unsubstantiated claim.
I think that bringing in America's record on its extermination of the “Indians” and rise to power on the back of African slaves has nothing to do the Earth Sciences.
I’m saying the whole thread is an Islam bashing one, and a poorly disguised one at that.
Looks more like rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth, paranoia on your part.
Nice to talk with you too.
This confused me. Are you claiming that the opening post was intended to be anti-Islamic? That it contained material so ridiculous it would bring Islam into disrepute? Roughly half of the responses were superficially anti-Islamic, though (Q) is simply anti-religious and would likely have posted the same knee jerk reaction in relation to any thread on any religion. The other half of the responses were not anti-Islamic (from my perspective) , but were opposed to the nonsense in the links.Originally Posted by Vexer
Perhaps you could expand upon what you felt was truly anti-Islamic in the thread, rather than anti-religious, or opposed to arm waving that poses as science?

I don't think so, the code is there for all to see. You’re making an unsubstantiated claim.
So, a Muslim starts a thread lying about Islam and science, we balk, and you call Islam bashing? Yet. it's perfectly acceptable for Muslims to lie?I’m saying the whole thread is an Islam bashing one, and a poorly disguised one at that.
Why is this thread here? It has nothing to do with earth sciences.
As above. (My original point, in fact)
