It may record some brain waves or just images of you moving around (ie just a camera), but if it were possible it's implications would go far beyod dreams, it would probably also be useful if the person was conscious, say being interviewed by police etc. - So my take is either you have mis-read or (more usually) some journalist has jumped the gun. Whatever it is without seeing the 'article' etc it is difficult where any error may arise. Also it was used by police for some bank robbery case and they caught the criminal. Also it said that it took near about 6 million rupees to do so.
