Has anyone seen a TV show (about crime investigation) where the actors made some serious mistakes?

    What were they?

Not exactly a crime scene investigation but there was an episode of House that caused me to lose any notion the show had any scientific credibility. One of House's patients had a brain tumor that was mysteriously shrinking witiout any radiation treatments. So they send somebody out to her house to see if there is a souce of radiation. That alone is absurd, the idea that somebody's home could have enough radiation to shrink a tumor. Then the guy takes a geiger counter and it's clicking next to the microwave oven and the light switch. Puhleeze!!!

This takes Harold's off-topic post even a little more off-topic, but what about the show Heroes? I love the show and have since day 1, but the notion that evolution can produce superpowers like flight, time travel and so on is very, very liberal use of science. Nothing different than a lot of superhero backstories though I suppose.

Take a look at "CSI" Almost all of the things they do there are heavily altered to suit the drama.
No protective clothing at the scene. NO-NO
No proper handling of evidence. NO-NO
    No safe lab-practice. NO-NO
    And this goes onandonandon
Build a man a fire and he will be warm for a day, set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Yeah...I'd really like to get me one of those "CSI computers"... with a few keystrokes they display all kinds of neat graphics and data.
    Fixin' shit that ain't broke.

please--do not get me started on the CSI franchise. talk about brainwashing the public and distorting reality. in this country they are the most watched shows and they are just bad t.v. with CSI Miami being the all time worst

That show makes granny from the beverly hillbillies look like a world renowned cardiovascular surgeon as well as a neurosurgeon.

i was reallyhoping someone would be as peeved about the csi franchise as i am.

what does it say about people who make these travesties some of the most watched programs? not much but it does say a lot about the old saying, 'people would rather believe a lie than the truth'.

I don't know about time travel, but evolution apparently did produce flight.

    no it didn't.

time travel is impossible by the way, people are wasting their time trying to invent it.

but this is about t.v. not science.

    Birds? Bats? Insects?

Well, into the past you mean (although if you're allowed nearly infinite energy and some exotic matter I think there are some theories about it). Going into the future is pretty easy, anyway. There's the normal 1x we all experience, and then the turbo charge from time dilation from gravity or velocity.

here s a question: {returning to topic} how did Miami CSI become the most watched show worldwide? it is the worst acted, the worst scripted, the worst directed, the worst filmed show possible?

and why are the CSI's always telling their co-workers what they already know like the person is a rookie though they have been working there for years?

it is the most annoying show possible, an insult to intelligence and boring. I try to avoid it as much as possible but unfortuantely for me, this country has few western shows and guess which ones are on almost everyday?

Did you know your TV has a change channel option, failing that it has an off/on switch? Use it
