Why is lack of evidence not good enough for some people?

Remember growing up and hearing about the big oil companies either paying or knocking off inventors of water powered engines. Wasn’t there even a pill you could add to water that made it a substitute for gasoline.

Anyways, this poor guy claimed with his last breath that he was being poisoned for inventing an engine that ran on water. Forensics and toxicology says no to poison but aren’t there some that can’t be detected? Or in time will be detected? Did forensics do enough to solve this case or is it urban legend?

You’d think the car companies would have all they need to start making cars fuelled by water after all this time. They can find secret UFO files, so why not evidence for the water engine murders or pay offs?

Is lack of evidence the same as circumstantial evidence? Do they both infer a fact?

The simple fact is that it will take more energy to separate water into oxygen and hydrogen then the useful energy you can get from burning them again. So you might as well use whatever you used to power the electrolysis device needed to separate them to power the car directly.

Sounds like Stanley was not playing with a full deck of cards, or was working on a major scam. And unless someone had a very sophisticated toxin which is rare and acts at very low levels, like botulinum toxin, or a nerve agent, it is unlikely he was poisoned and they simply missed it. But Stanley's refusal to allow any inspection of his car by experts is highly suspicious.

As far as running on water, that would be not be possible without its conversion to hydrogen. While the use of hydrogen as a power source is controversial, significant support by many governments around the world has raised the possibility of it playing a major role in future energy applications. The World Bank has published an interesting assessment of it's feasibility as a future fuel *.
