Hi all,
I'm new here, undergrad criminology student. Am putting together my thesis, and wanting to get some ideas about something. Specifically I want to know peoples thoughts about where I might describe the nature of the research context/ jurisdiction if I am reviewing police attitudes about a phenomena. Would this best go in next to the sampling details in methods section? Or do you think it might be better to include it following the literature review, but prior to an initial statement of research questions / hypotheses?
It should be noted (without being too specific) that while details about the jurisdiction will provide context... the project is still justified and justifies itself and the questions it asks in the initial literature review. The particular jurisdiction was not chosen for any reason other than convenience.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
