Hello, thanks in advance for any helpful answers to my question. I am trying to find out what a career as a forensic technician would be like. What are the career directions for a forensic technician? For instance, does one who stays in the field generally continue to work as a forensic technician, as an example, working for a police department, and progressively advance towards being a specialist? Or do most people who stay in the field become supervisors of other technicians? Or, as a third option, is it not a job that most people continue to work in as a career?

I am trying to decide on a career direction (albeit a bit late.) I have a Master's Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and I am currently working for a company that does DNA testing.
