Is the insert video button not working?

Just wondering if something like this happened in real life what the legal consequences would be? It's a great baby punch I've never seen anything like it before.

lol well... He may have gotten some reprimand by the law from it if it actually happened, but most of the damage would be made to:

a) the baby's jaw
b) his political career

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

I think assault on a minor, a heavy lawsuit, a ruined political career, maybe divorce, a name change, witness protection. If the baby suffered say a concussion, which could lead to mental disability's. The charges could go way up. Or in some cases a man hits like a man can they can hit so. Hard they could kill the "infant" or cause blood vessels in the brain to rupture that would lead to a delayed death. Or a fractured skull. You should Never hit a baby with your fist especially in the head. Hitting a baby is not right. I have understood a "tap" with no force applied to a hand to let the baby know that what they did was not right. Or "taping" there back to burp them. But other than that I see no point. And even violence around baby's should be tried to be kept to a minimum. They see an hear the violence. And over time it may effect them in negative ways. A politician should not ever act that way. guess that's why its only a movie.

I have to say that is funny as well I don't know what to see sheer horror and magnitude sink in on Will ferrell's face at the garvity of what he has just done, then I think it leaves the viewer with a strong sense of err I think maybe they've gone to far with this and that slight sense of guilt in realising what you just thought was funny is actually rather shocking and would probarbly disaprove of it being shown at all in whatever context. So it's kind providing that feeling where you're are laughing at something you know you shouldn't, you're slightly appauled at seeing this and yet then questioning yourself on how you could have found something so shocking funny, yet it is the very nature of the shockingness reflected in the actors face that makes it funny, not the actual act itself.

So overall is it funny? No, but the reflected "oh f**k what have I done" in Will ferrells face is hilarious, but I still feel a bit guilty for finding it funny and still think they've gone to far and it shouldn't have been shown. As for any implications, I don't really want to actually contemplate the reality of anyone actually punching a baby for real.

But don't know perhaps the sense of humour part of the brain works just that bit quicker than than moral sense, who knows.

They show a lot of shocking TV and movie programs, and I think we all grow a little numb to them. Then one comes along that really does shock you above the normal and it's a comedy poking fun at politicians. All I can say is I want to go see that movie.

I think the word is schadenfreude, we can all find things funny that we know we shouldn't, and taking pleasure in the misfortune of other's is supprisingly acceptable to most of us (so long as it doesn't go to far), for example how many U Tube clips have we seen of people being hit in the balls by various objects? All very funny, but if they were getting limbs cut off or something equally bad we wouldn't find it funny. But the sense of humour is a strange thing and differs from person to person. In a way it's was a bit like watching 'American Pie' the first time and that cringe worthy but hilarious moment.

I have found the insert image and insert video buttons not to be working but MacGyver posted a work-around on another thread for images and I found that I could adapt it for videos as well although sometimes one has to grab the share/embed link for it to work. Just add the code manually as follows:

for images
For video just sustitute the word video inside the brackets.

Truly, our species has a strange sense of humor. American politics would be hilarious save for the fact that this nation is a global power and has nuclear weapons. I have been following this election more closely than any other and the tactics employed just boggle my admittedly small sense of political understanding.

An example of what we are numb to vs what still shocks us is in this video. We see nudity all the time and it such a non-issue that no one even mentioned it in this thread. but there is some gratuitous nudity as well. I won't tell you where it is or describe it to you. I'll let you go back and try to find it.

Speaking badly about people after they are gone and jumping on the bash the band wagon must do very well for a low self-esteem.

I've watched that baby punch video at least a dozen times and couldn't detect any gratuitous nudity. But every time I watch this video I wonder at the slow motion punch to the babies face that makes it look so real. You just know they don't really hit a baby in the face with a fist. I guess that's what makes it so shocking, it looks so real, but can't be.

ArKane,

Seagypsy makes a good point that our society (especially men) are becoming desensitized to the exposure of the female form.

No wonder, I wouldn't consider that level of exposure to warrant even a second look.

Really, ArKane?

Is that what I think it is, just to the left of the pinky of the hand with the wedding band?

Not much to get excited about and until you enlarged it, I didn't notice it. Anyway, who but a woman would have noticed it anyway?

gratuitous nudity?
yeah more
I want more
Please sir, can I have more?

Maybe, you can tell from some of my work, but I think that few things can match the beauty of a well formed female member of our species.
Heck, some of 'em even look better'n trees (and I really like trees)
