fourms are great places.
1. is there any free server type things.. cause im broke
2. why is it that when posting... they use different tags.. instead of [i] we use [i]???

two questions .. hope i get an answer.(i thinki know anyway!)

To attempt to answer your first query: maybe I've mis-interpreted the question, but if you're looking for free forum software, two reputable ones are:

• Yet Another Bulletin Board, and
• phpBB

In relation to your second question: I would make a guess that it is to prevent browsers from inserting arbitrary HTML code into a forum submission. Am willing to be enlightened on that point though.

We actually do accept some HTML code here. Just a very small select list. Like sup sub center, and a few others that I'll have to check on. I went with phpBB as it appeared to be pretty nice, and being a PHP programmer made it easy for me to work with and customize. Aside from a few issues with the HTML code for math symbols it appears to work well.
