    Hi,
    In sweden there are schools just for students who want to become pilot or airplane engineer and mechanics and other thing related to airports.
    And since I love those stuff I decided to become a pilot at any cost. Everything is ok except my english! However I am going to improve it.
    But Im concerned about one thing: What if the future airplanes wont need any pilot at all, and all the airplanes are controlled from the Airport Tower using computers.
    What do you think? Have you heard anything about it?(cuz many Air crafts are controlled from the ground)

    let me know!

    I can assure you that this will most likely not happen during our life times, the problem with a computer in charge is that if something goes wrong... who do you blame? Apart from that they would never completly place the lives of people in the han... erm... "chips" of a computer. Now things like military recon planes are basically robots however they dont place peoples lives in danger.

    When you say many aircraft are controlled from the ground, I assume you mean the airport tower? Basically the pilot flys, the tower helps navigate and organsise the traffic in and out of the air port. Computers are used in the airport tower due to the incredibly hard job the people have in there however the computer is there to aid not to run the place. So yeh basically in short... you will not loose your job to a computer.

    thanks for you reply.
    I have also though about it for few days and I found my answer:
    People wont trust pilotless airplanes! People wont trust computers!
