I was wondering if someone could help with the steps to create a free website. I had a free website before but now that site only offers free web hosting so you have to pay for the making of the site. Can someone tell me programs and sites I can use to make a free website (maybe add Google Absence or something) Can some explain web hosting is more detail than they take your website and just redirect the URL.

You can make a website with almost anything nowadays.

What kind of site is it? Or has to be.

Plain HTML is wonderfully simple and easy to learn. And once you know it you can make your website with notepad or another free editor.

I am currently using CSE HTML Validator lite. It's now up to version 8.

If that is too technical you can just use MsWord to make a website. It's not really the best tool to make clean code, but it works. And most computers have it installed.

A graphic website can be made with Photoshop/imageready. If you have the licence or are willing to install an unlicenced copy.

Similarly many people swear by MX dreamweaver. But it generates sloppy code. An official licence is ridiculously expensive. Similar to photoshop.

If you want a blog just start with a free wordpress blog or blogger.

But my advice would be just to learn a bit of Html and become independent.

this is HTML - as you can see there's some easy tutorials

+ yes, it's free - all you need is a keyboard and a basic knowledge and off you go
