    There were attempts to introduce 3d TVs into wide use a few years ago. But largely these attempts have failed. 3d images look realistic if they are large. It may work well in the cinemas, for example (even without 3d glasses). However if 3d images are quite small (like in majority of a regular TVs) the puppet-theater effect ruins the idea behind technology. Is it possible to invent some compromise option which would give 2d images more sensation of depth and volume, but wouldn't cause the puppet-theater effect?
