Patexia is a global community of students and technical professionals that comes together to do patent research. We are currently looking for people with a background in computer architecture to help with our Coherent Caching of Local Memory Data and Communication Protocol for a Network on a Chip System projects. Each research project offers a prize pool of $7,000 for relevant prior art references. If you'd like to join our community please contact me directly at kyle at patexia dot com and I can help you get started.

    Cheers.

How do we know which chips haven't already been patented?? Do we need to make one nobody made before?? I thought about making chips before but it is the cost of materials a lot of the time most modern computers use a lot of silicon which id have to import and id have to pay for the factory which is expensive. However it is relatively inexpensive for sombody like me to make a software company here electricty cost are quite low and alot of people own windfarms so they are actually making money regardless of making software all day.

The question of which chips haven't already been patented is certainly non-trivial and yes, manufacturing a chip is an expensive and time consuming process for an individual. Our chip project isn't asking anybody to create anything, rather are interested in publicly available documents that were available before a certain date that explain the technology in this patent we're studying. Examples of useful, and even winning submissions, include patents, papers, textbook chapters, product manuals, etc... Does this help clear up what we're trying to accomplish?
