Hi guys I have this practice question I'm stuck on:

Which of the following is NOT an advantage of CISC architecture?

    A. Specialist instructions to aid the programmer in common tasks

    B. Rich variety of addressing modes to aid the programmer

    C. Variable instruction lengths to optimise code density

    D. Fixed length, regular format instructions

    F. Specialist instructions that can be optimised in hardware

    Thank you in advance!!!

I don't want to do your home work for you. After all, I might get it wrong.

Why not provide your thoughts about why each option might or might not be part of a CSIC architecture? Remember to compare the nature of CISC and RSIC architectures as you do this. In fact, is it easier to think of the question as: which of these might be an advantage of a RSIC architecture?

You might find the answer becomes clear if you do that. If not, I will happily give some feedback on your ideas.

I was thinking the answer is D because I saw that under a list based on some RISC stuff, not entirely sure though
