I tranferred code from one machine to another. It cant compile since the string format function is not recognised by the new machine. What can i do? i have tried to install the proper libraries but still the function seems alien?
    Any tips?

    Is it QWERTY,
    ASDF or
    ZXC?

Can you post the portion of the code you're having trouble with?

The thing is when you try to run,it highlights the 'format' part of the statement

What are you using as a compiler?

    I usually use Visual Studio.net.

The lump of offending code, any/all error messages, compiler name and version - as a minimum please...

Othrewise it's like saying "my car won't start" without telling us whether it's diesel, petrol, vintage steam, electric or even clockwork...
