    I was pondering with the idea in programming a functional AI. The programming is not the hard part, the planning is. a little help and ideas are welcomed.

    C=centence
    P=position
    W=word
    1---how to save words and grammer/pattern searching--------
    W is saved in RW section

    W compared with centance.
    saves W,
    saves C,
    saves P of W
    saves W before/after W
    this is for every word in the centence.

    then, W will be compared with all other W's.

    W's with the same position will be listed down saved seperatly with all W's with the same position in the text. this folder will be saved nummeracly(1,2,3,4...)

    back to the first W.
    saves the P number(of all other W's position) "1"
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ---using words------------------------------------------------------
    User writes text. task 1 is done by computer.
    computer analyises text. task 3 is executed
    searches RW section, if not existing step is skiped and enters random words.
    User can express wrong right,
    -if user says "wrong"
    ---then computer saves C in RW section and sets RW variable to 0
    ---else same exept RW variable to 1
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    3-----combination of words------------------------------------------
    analyisies user text
    analyises W in text
    looks up W's RW characteristics

    to be continued

    I haven't come to fight my word, but to find the truth.

    In computer programming, one usually writes a flow chart of operations to be performed, then you fill in each of the blocks with 'psuedo code' (or for complex programs each block points to another flowchart) then you translate it into real instructions. Start flow charts at the highest level and work down, leaving the individuals modules as small as possible so that when you get round to writing them they are in nice easy chunks.

    I'd suggest you get hold of some good database books as well as general programming.

    If you try and just 'serially' program you will end up with a 'birds nest' full of bugs like a microsoft operating system.

    All programs written for computers mimick intelligence to some extent, you have to define first exactly how far you want to go. If even this step confuses you then you need o buy some books on it. Teaching you how to do it is beyond the scope of a forum.
