I'm learning Python and ive just got a few questions about it..
How do you create normal-looking windows and animations without importing turtle? I mean how can you work with graphics rather than just the standard command prompt or IDLE window?

Turtle? Was your previous experience related to Logo?

Windows are not drawn calling graphical primitives, but created using windows subsystem. I've never tried it, but you may consider using wxPython (wxPython) to create windows. You may also check wxPython documentation for routines to draw graphical primitives (dots, lines, ellipses etc.).

If you are beginner in programming, GUI programming may be to complex for you. Consider easier tasks.

P.S. After just a few moments of Google search I've got this link http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/. You may try this library if you want to process images in files.
