    I was curious to know if someone would be able to enlighten me on the following question :

    What is the contrast between link and physical connectivity on the internet ?

    Physical connections refer to hardware - cables and such. Links refer to logical connections - pointers and such.

    So I understand the physical part of it ... being perhaps the ethernet cable, or the wireless router, the modem, etc ... but the link connectivity of internet i'm not to sure to get ?

    When you click on a link you are initiating a sequence of steps in the system with the end result is the web page you've linked to is displayed. In other words you are making use of the connections to retrieve something from somewhere on the internet.
