I can't install my Win XP, because when i type the CD-code, and then proceeding further, when the setup process just initiates, the message comes that "Setup was unable to read from or write to C: , if a virus scanner is running then disable it and then restart setup" my default drive is C:
I have already deleted my avast anti-virus, but still the message comes.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem ??
Here's the picture showing the problem >>

Do you have any data you would like to keep on your C drive? If you do, back up first and then boot from the CD, format and install.

What type of files? Everything on your C drive will be gone, so back that up first. Files on other drives won't be affected, unless they are files that were dependant on installed programs. You can still make copies of those and then copy them back into the required paths once Windows is up and running. What files are they?

In that case, no it won't. Just make sure you make copies of your saved games. You can consult Google to find out where to find them. And I also love Dragon Balls
