I am putting together a little movie knid of thing for a friend of mine. Basically what I need to do is to make a movie using still pictures and a song. I could do the pictures in power point, but I don't know how to keep a single song playing through a whole presentation, without placing it in every slide but then it has to start over every slide, and the other problem I am having is that when I start the song, nothing else will do anything until the song is over. Any suggestion?

PaintShop Pro comes with an animation package that would let you assemble the 'movie' as an avi file you could play from within a single powerpoint slide.

now I have two questions about that. First how much will that program cost?

And second, how hard is it to use that program?

Well, I was hoping to start making a few of these movies, but I guess I could try it out for this one and if I like it I could go buy it. My next project idea though is actually making movies, possibly from other video clips but probably making clips from individual pictures, like they do in Japan. It looks sooooooo cool.

Its realy cool, but I would go in a different direction with it, after I made about two of these kinds of movies. But seriously wow.

I think it is around £60 in the UK. Typically that will mean it is $60 in the US. However, most of the versions I used of it till recently were free earlier versions given away with computer magazines. I suggested PaintShop Pro because it is one I am familiar with, but I am sure there are a bunch of similar ones.

The program was easy to use. If you are computer literate, which I am sure you are, you would have no problem with it.

Once I made a movie with Windows Movie Maker...It was extremely easy to use and I had a song playing in the background for the whole thing
