Hey i hope im writing this in the correct area, but i just wanted some advice and opinions of what others think. I love computers and i am knowledgeable on how to use on and all that. I am going to be new to programming and i have never entered a math class that is higher than algebra, even though i am very good at that math i pick up fast and learn fast. I just have doubts in myself that i can do it, i don't want to be in the major for a year and then quit because it gets too hard. Basically i want to know if you need a talent for this or if its also easy to pick up for people who havent touched computer science at all. Im sure if i dedicate myself i can learn it, but i just wanna know from experienced c.s majors if theres a tough road ahead or would i been sitting at home all day studying. Thanks in advance

Computer science is mostly math, so you will likely be a bit behind when you start. If you pick it up easily, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you really love it, you should be willing to take the risk of it being too hard (if you like it enough, it won't matter if it's hard, you'll still do it because it's interesting and you enjoy it). You should seize the opportunity for a challenge; don't always take the easiest path. You might be surprised how much you can do that you never thought you'd be able to.
