Thread: Computer Science FYP Ideas

hi..i am a final year computer science student..i need 2search for a gud FYP(final year project).....i have been having many probz with finalizing on a particular project idea..it would be really great of you if u could help me with some sites where i can get good project ideas with some description..i am more interested in da programming, networking and mobile's related projects....also if any of you have ideas dat are of use 2me den it wd b really appreciated ...

If you write your final design document like that you'll be laughed out of the class.

Why don't you try something like a GPS program for a mobile phone that will follow you on google maps, and give you route information?

Ex:

I am at home and I want to go to a new restaurant. I put the addresses in and get a route (from google maps). The directions stay on screen and function like a GPS. As I move, it updates the map screen along the traced route to destination. Each time I make a turn, it updates the top of the screen with the next instruction, and the distance to instruction. When I get there, the destination clears and it just shows me as a dot on the map.

How's that sound?

what about accessing the whole PC in mobile????

My suggestion is to create a program that translates stupid forum talk to normal English. You know when people say things like: "gud" instead of good, "da" instead of the, etc.

Not only would it make many people happy, but it would help the less sophisticated people blend in with the rest of the world.

That is way beyond the scope of a computer science degree.

The IR part alone would be pretty tough for a large group of final year EEs. Of course, if you can find the hardware already completed, you may stand a chance.
