I recently got a degree in CS and Physics. Jobs for CS majors vary a lot, you're probably not going to get a uniform answer. There are so many different disciplines within CS-you could do networking, operating systems, database stuff, image processing, numerical analysis, bioinformatics... just to name a few.

My last project at work was largely IT/sys admin: lots of software installs and configurations. I personally didn't find that part of the job very stimulating.

Because there are so many disciplines within CS and because of today's technology and computer-oriented world, there are always jobs open for computer scientists, and they generally pay well.

ANY degree involving computers is a CS degree. it is the area you are trying to focus on that counts

Career prospect for anyone majoring in computer science are very wide. With computer science degrees you develop proficiency in programming, networking and database management. This means that a student graduating with a computer science degree is prepared to work under variety of environment and perform versatile functions. The computer science degree program offered by CollegeAmerica, in which I am enrolled to, also prepares me for various certifications. Once you graduate with a computer science degree you can work as application programmer, networking administrator, database administrator and many such responsible positions in the field of IT.
