    Hi,

    My friend told me that water is created from air, is this possible?

    That depends on what your friend means by 'created'. If he means condensing water vapor into usable water, then it is possible, if there is sufficient water vapor in the air. This is why you get 'dew' water on cars in the morning. If you're referring to bonding the oxygen molecules in the air to hydrogen molecules to make H20, not so much, this requires a more energetic catalyst to perform, though theoretically, one could seperate oxygen molecules from the air and artificially combine them with hydrogen molecules in a lab setting.

    If you had some hydrogen there would be no problem combining it with the oxygen in the air to form water. Just light a match.

    I agree with Frenchi that your friend may be referring to simple condensation. If so, his terminology is not very scientific. He is simply trying to describe what he sees, such as the droplets of water that develop on the outside of a chilled glass. So far we have no reason to believe he is referring to anything beyond that simple phenomenon.
