    Hello

I am new to this forum, class 10 student from india. i got a project in which i need to use a 50 ml of hydrogen peroxide of 70 % concentration. the problem is i want to know how make 70 % concentration, i already had 100 ml which contains 30% of h2o2, can i boil this ? can i store after boiling in my cupboard?

Fractionated destiallation of the 30% H2O2 would solve the problem but the cost would be ridiculously high (if you start from scratch) and there is an inherent danger when handling 70%+ H2O2. Get in contact with some fuel and WHOOOSH! NOthing I would recommend for someone with close to zero experience with chemistry (assumption).
What do you need that conc of H2O2 for anyway? Most of the time 30% will do.

Twangg makes the point that H2O2 is very reactive.

I'm just wondering about your quantities. If you have only 100ml of 30% H2O2 I cannot see how, even if you reduce it somehow to 50ml, your concentration could be greater than 60% - given that you start with, effectively, only 30ml of H2O2 (and assuming, of course, that you are talking about v/v concentration, not w/w).

    cheer

    shanks
