Well, I suppose this belongs here. This is for a research paper =/ Gotta survey people. OK, I edited it. Sorry, you were right. All references are to use as a fuel for automobiles.

1.If hydrogen fuel was made practical, would you use it?
    A. Yes
    B. No

2.How much would you be willing to pay compared to gasoline? (equal energy to 1 gallon of regular gas, present day)
    A. About $1 more
    B. About $1.50 more
    C. About $2 more
    D. Not listed

3.If there is a better fuel source listed, then which do you think it would be? (By convenience)
    A. Fossil Fuels
    B. Solar Power
    C. Nuclear
    D. Wind

    4. Do you think the energy source you chose would be more or less costly than hydrogen? How much more or less based on energy equal to 1 gallon of regular gas?
    A. 1-50 cents more
    B. 0-50 cents less
    C. 51 cents - $1 more
    D. 51 cents - $1 less
    E. Undefined

    5. Would that energy source contribute to Global Warming?
    A. Yes
    B. No

    6. How much more or less convenient do you think hydrogen would be if it was as readily available as gasoline? (Present time)
    A. About the same
    B. A little less
    C. More convenient
    D. Very Convenient
    E. Very Inconvenient

    ---
Note - Answer in this syntax
    (Age)/(Gender)
    (Choice)
    (Choice)
    (Choice)
    (Choice)

I am very sorry for the inconvenience, I should have worded it better.

You really, really need to rewrite this questionnaire so people won't feel so foolish trying to help you out. Haven't you heard "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"?

1.If hydrogen fuel was made possible, would you use it?
Available fuels include plutonium, LOX, and dried yak dung. A few people use them. Not me!

2.Do you know what hydrogen is? What?
Do you know what coal is? Element? Compound? Other? Not one user in a million really knows -- nor cares. Still it is a billion dollar industry.

3.How much money would you be willing to pay for hydrogen fuel...
Are we talking about gallons, pounds, BTUs, or what? Let's just say the market determines the selling price. If it's a good deal it will sell.

    4. Choose the greatest risk associated with hydrogen fuel.
Actually, the greatest risk with hydrogen is that is invisible. You can neither see nor smell a leak. Oh, yeah, it's inflammable. So is gasoline and natural gas. OK, the risk is its explosiveness. Reasonable question.

    5. If there is a better fuel source (listed...) then which do you think it would be?
Right now? Today?? EVERY item on your list is better. At least there are devices that actually use these fuels. NOTHING mass-produced works on hydrogen.

    6. Would the energy source you chose be more or less costly?
First tell me the price of hydrogen and then I will compare it to anything you ask.

    7. Would that energy source contribute to pollution?
Each fuel has its own problems. Pollution vs. radioactivity? Air quality vs. heat pollution? Get the energy first, I say, then tackle the side problems.

    8. How much more or less convenient do you think hydrogen would be, relative to fossil fuels?
Right now?? It's no contest. We use fossil fuels because nobody has yet found a way to make hydrogen convenient. But if we run out of oil, convenience is no longer the issue, is it?

I hope you don't think I am mocking you. I want you to succeed with your research paper. But what are you really researching? Peoples' ignorance? C'mon, ask some serious questions. Get some useful responses.

I agree. Your survey needs a complete re-write. Especially where you talk about the prices, and it isn't clear exactly what you're referring to.

Hydrogen isn't really a fuel anyway, at least not in the sense of being able to replace other sources of energy.

Sorry, I couldn't access the site to edit it until now.
I see your points, I have edited it, and I will fix it up some more in a few moments.
This is just a 'off the top of your head' survey, it isn't meant to get involved in economics.
In a way, yes, it was researching peoples ignorance, but it was not meant in a bad way. It was more meant to decide how much people knew about hydrogen fuel.
