Thread: Beers Law UV-Vis

How would one prepare 10 ml of an ethanolic solution for a UV-Vis measurement (with a 1 cm cell) for iodobenzene, lambda max:226 nm

I have done a great deal of spectroscopy in various laboratories but your question makes absolutely no sense to me.

thank god, I thought that I was just stupid or something, because I was like....ummmm 0_o huh? 8)

That scares me because that is exactly how the question was worded on my exam.

I later found out the lambda max was thrown in there just to see if students who didn't really know what they were doing (like myself) would try to incorporate it into the problem.
