A Sodium-Sulfur batteries are known since 1960-s and they are quite successful type of a batteries. Energy density - over 200 Wh/kg, efficiency - 90%, cyclelife - 4500+. And they are cheep. They use ceramic electrolyte. What prevents to create Lithium-Sulfur battery with ceramic electrolyte? Would it have the same efficiency and cyclelife? There seem exist some ceramics or a glassy substances which conduct Li ions at room temp.?
