    Hi there, I have a microparticle suspension which has a bottle concentration of 10% solids. I have the density of particles, 1.05 g/cm^3, but require the volumetric concentration in order to carry out experiments. How would I calculate it. Thanks

    10 mass / 100 masss gives us 10%, so lets assume you have 10 g of solid.

    So... 10 g X 1 cm^3 / 1.05 g = ____C____ cm^3

    Since you said microparticle suspension, I'm guessing its a colloidal mixture and not a solution. Therefore, you must find out the density of your liquid counterpart.

    Then.. 100 g x (density of liquid n cm^3 / g) =____L____ cm^3

    Once you get that you can easily calculate volumetric calculations. C/L x 100 = Volumetric Concentration in %
