So, I suspect that the guy in the video is a little bit of a crackpot (Some of the videos on his listing mention over-unity).
However, there does exist a paper about a simple reduced graphene oxide method; Highly Efficient Synthesis of Graphene Nanocomposites - Nano Letters (ACS Publications)
Unfortunately, the article is behind a paywall, and I am poor. Could the video, in this case, be mostly accurate?

The Tang Lau method is real.
How good his home process is I am not sure.
I would not suggest using his pipebomb method of creating a chemical reactor.

I wasn't really doubting the existence of the Tang-Lau method. I need juicier details though. What has been presented in the video is deliciously simple, involving no temperatures higher than cookie baking. I need juicier details! Is a pressure vessel necessary? Is there a precise formula for determining ingredient amounts?
