Levels of mucous immeadiately. It also causes dizziness, malaise, weakness. What is a gas that does this?

Hardly odourless, though, is it? Same would rule out SO2.

They do produce some of the symptoms in the OP but they certainly aren't odourless, I've had a sniff of both of them (by accident!) in my career and I wouldn't recommend it...

From what I remember about the Tokyo gas attack (reading about it, I mean), I think sarin could fit the bill.

(I'm assuming this is a general "I'm writing a story" type curiosity, rather than actual Evil Mastermind stuff. I assume a genuine Evil Mastermind would have better sources than this forum - his team of Evil Geniuses, for example.)

the symptoms op described isn't caused by the gb toxin. sarin causes symptoms like drooling, diarrhea, brain damage etc

    Don't be silly.
Homework may well cause those symptoms, but it's not a gas.

    You missed off death.

I thought the runny nose and drooling might fit the irritation and increase in mucous description. And diarrhoea sounds like a malaise! But, fair enough.

death isn't one of the symptoms. the symptoms caused by the gas can lead to the death of the person

    Sorry, I can't help myself. Flu(e) gas.

Seriously though, the closest thing I could think of is methyl bromide.
