    Hello all,

I am a master's student of Fine Art in The Netherlands. I would like to experiment with making ceramic ferrite magnets. I am working in the ceramics department, through which we can order the compounds (some of which are already there), and we have an oven that goes to the appropriate temperature. I understand the basic process but I cannot find a formula stating what percent of each component must be added and in what steps.

    simplified process:
    SrCO3 + Fe2O3 > SrOFe2O3 + CO2
    SrOFe2O3 + 5Fe2O3 > SrO.6(Fe2O3)

    BaCO3 + Fe2O3 > BaOFe2O3 + CO2
    BaOFe2O3 + 5Fe2O3 > BaO.6(Fe2O3)

If anyone can steer me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please use Demon's knowledge for good...not evil. If you're going to build murder robots out of these magnets...please don't tell anyone where you got the information.
