I would like to attempt an experiment about the effects of certain chemicals on plants and was wondering if there was a device that could measure the amount of certain gases in the air namely oxygen and carbon dioxide. Thanks any help is appreciated.

It seems like the Oxygen sensors are mostly for use in automobiles, could I use one to measure the gases in a closed container?

You could use an Orsat Apparatus, though it might prove hard to get the reagents.

Carbon dioxide sensors that connect to Arduinos and USB ports are available on eBay.
