Does anyone know of a solvent which will thin room-temperature curing silicone rubber? I know there are at least two types, one smelling of acetic acid, the other odorless.

I need to apply a very thin coat to a small object; dipping it would be a perfect way. Thanks. jocular

tap plastics and dow corning both sell thinners for rtv silicone rubbers

I've heard of people using naptha and benzine, but never tried it as I suspect it would degrade the rtv.
