Hey, I just came across this technology that involves ‘nanoreactor coatings’ for creating metal and semiconductor nanoparticles in situ on surfaces. Basically, a thin film loaded with nanoparticles can be placed on a surface.

I was trying to think where this might be useful and could only think of antimicrobial silver/copper nanoparticle coatings.

I am pretty sure that this is possible with the technology but maybe there’s something that’s better suited to its unique selling points. Does anyone have any ideas?

You can see the details here: Marblar - Nanoreactor

I just did a little research on quantum dots and I think it's a really good application! Actually, if you follow the link, you can put that idea on the website - I don't want to sound like I'm advertising, but the website 'crowdsources' ideas into products so you can get some contributions and have that really develop into something
