I am looking at water being poured from one jar into another. What makes the bubbles in the jar, oxygen from the water molecules or gas from the atmosphere? Will the H(2)O molecules in water always be whole molecules or will there be individual hydrogen and oxygen atoms in a flowing sample of water? I am also curious about surface tension and the way a flow clings to a container when not poured properly. Would the physics section be a better place to post?

This is interesting. I did not consider the ions. In doing research on photosynthesis and Hydrogen fuel applications my goal with this thread was to get a feel for what it means to look at pouring water. Thank you for your response.

Please explain what sort of research you are doing. I don't understand the connection between photosynthesis and hydrogen fuel cell applications ????
