    How do cyclo- molecules compare to their non-cyclo- counterparts? Such as cyclopropane and propane. I mean property-wise, I know how their structure is different.

      ok, so i have a new question. would a car still run the same if instead of octane, one filled up the tank with cyclo-octane?

      as far as i'm aware, straight chain alkanes are the most combustible hydrocarbon, so while cycloalkanes would work, they would produce less energy. couldnt tell you exactly why though

      more energy would be need to combust it because of the structure being cyclo- i think...
